Are they stealing your idea or is the Universe set on making things happen

I have been busy writing fiction. While I was doing that I felt bad about my ‘business’. I put that in quotes because businesses make money and I don’t. I felt like I had abandoned it. Tossed everything to the side. It was awfully easy. Maybe that’s a problem. Maybe it’s not.

I have tried for years to have a business that generates money. And failed every single time. I might make a little progress and get a random sale here and there, but nothing catches.

And then, there are days like today when I find someone talking about the same things I have been, using the same language and everything. To be clear, these people are not coping me or stealing my ideas. What they are doing, is picking up on information that is finally moving from the Universal Consciousness into active awareness. This is a good thing. But I've already moved on to something else.

For example, today the first post on IG I saw said Change Your Narrative. Language I used for years. On a post about journaling. Something I talked about for years, got tired of know one listening too and moved on, is years later making its getting picked up by others.

Like I said, this is a good thing. This is not anyone copying me or stealing my ideas. This is progress.

Now I could go back to using that language and revive old services and products to try and catch this wave. I won’t. Because I’m on to new things. This is how the cycle goes. Myself and others on the same wavelength create a bridge for others to fulling bring things into the world.

This cycle is normal. It doesn’t fit well with capitalistic hustle culture. None of our normal natural cycles do. We end up pushing and fighting against these cycles and feeling like failures. Always chasing. Always hungry.

I could be online ranting about how I was teaching/saying/sharing about things and try and pit myself against the person who made that IG post. That seems to be the way things go. LOOK AT ME! I SAID THAT FIRST! DON’T BUY FROM THEM! So fucking gross. I’m not interested in playing that game. No one wins.

I have better uses of my energy. I’m already focusing on bringing something new into the world. Something that in the future, someone else will pick up on and make solid in the world. Just as it should be.

At the same time, just like everyone else, I’ve got bills to pay and dreams to follow. How can I benefit from this cycle? How do I make it work in my favor?

I think it might be books. Something real and solid in the world that doesn’t disappear with every platform/algorithm change.

This is where things fit together with the fiction I’ve been working on. I’m writing about women going through some shit and coming out the other side standing in their own power. (I know the word power doesn’t sit well some of you. I’m not talking about control over others which is how power is normally used in our society.)

I have journals that contain short fiction, guided journeys to meet trees and shit like that. I love making these things. Making the same journals that swamp places like Etsy and Amazon is so repulsive to me. I tried. I just can’t.

I’m working on bringing my fiction and my love of journaling/creating together. Having things so that when a reader connects with a character, because there is something familiar in the story, they can then also get journals/whatever to help them on their own journey.

Like with Howl that has a retelling of Little Red Riding Hood & a guided journal.

This sounds delicious and vibrant to me. At some point in the future will other writers/authors do something similar. Yes. Good.

Obviously there are instances of people getting their ideas/work stollen. I’m not talking about those instances. That shit isn’t cool. But there are no new ideas under the sun. We are all knowingly or unknowingly tapping into the same Universal Consciousness. Ideas are going to follow the path of least resistance. The more people having the same/similar ideas means those things have a better chance of becoming real. We all benefit from that.

Our society has a deep belief in scarcity. That belief fuels a lot of harm and fuckery in the world. We don’t have to keep feeding that belief. Even the billionaires who have access to unlimited resources are feeding that belief. Their wealth is built on it. Once enough of us stop living from that scarcity mindset, start living as if the Universe is an abundant place, scarcity economics collapses.

I know that sounds like bull shit because we currently exist in a world where people are starving and living in horrid conditions. This isn’t because the world isn’t an abundant place. This is the scarcity belief/economy, of people who have enough, creating that reality. When you know/believe there is plenty for everyone instead of hoarding resources you create solutions in which everyone’s needs are met and people no matter the income/class thrive.

Ok. I feel like this post might have gone off track a little. It happens.

Anyway, go make your thing. When you see someone else making a similar thing, celebrate the fact that whatever that thing is becoming real.
